Nicky Painter

Preschool Supervisor

I started working in preschool in 2006 as an Assistant.  I qualified in my NVQ3 Childcare, Learning and Development in 2010 and accepted the Deputy Supervisior role in 2012 after my daughter was born.  I have now taken over as the setting SENCO and I have qualifications in Paediatric First Aid, Safeguarding Lead Practitioner and Level 2 Food Hygiene.  I enjoy attending training courses that can assist and enhance our preschool.

I have lived in Neatishead on and off since the age of nine.  I attended Neatishead School, my daughter came to our preschool before moving on to school.  I therefore have a strong connection to the village, which I believe helps me want the best for the children of this area and for me to provide the best preschool start to ever child in their early education.

Christine Newman

Preschool Assistant Supervisor

My eldest daughter began at the Preschool in 2009 and as a result I joined the committee as I wanted to be part of her journey.

My younger daughter also started in 2011 and I enjoyed going into Preschool and playing with the children so much that I decided to retrain.

In 2011 I began my Level 2 Childcare qualification and was welcomed into the Preschool two days per week gaining experience.

In 2012 I became a Preschool Assistant and started my Level 3 Childcare qualification, which I hope to finish within the next few months.

Preschool Assistant (Bank Staff Member)

I have been working with children for nearly 40-years, first as a Brownie Guider from age 15 for nearly 20-years and then at preschool starting as a mum voulenteer helper in 2000 and continuing on to take my Cache Level 2 Certificiate in Preschool Practive in 2004.  Since the I have completed various training courses including:-

- Introduction to Forest Schools Level 1

- Early Years Safeguarding Lead Practitioner

- Paediatric First Aid

- Level 2 Food Safety and Hygiene for Catering

Both my children were raised in the village, attended the preschool and Neatishead School and after almost 40 years I still enjoy helping the local children to achieve their maximum potential while learning and having fun.

Maggie Russell

Preschool Assistant

I moved to the area in 2021 with my family and bring a wealth of experience of working with children aged 2-4 years in a pre-school setting as a qualified EYFS (Early Years & Foundation Stage) practitioner.

I have a relevant Early Years/Childcare qualification at Level 3. I hold up-to-date Child Protection and Safeguarding credentials, am First Aid Trained and have been subject to all the usual Enhanced DBS checks on the DBS Updating Service.

Away from the workplace I have volunteered as a helper and regularly participated as a 'runner', at my local Park Run for many years, to which I was very proud to achieve the milestone of 100 runs!  I enjoy knitting, gardening and walking, particularly now exploring my new, beautiful surroundings in Norfolk!
